Casting and Foundry
The continuous casting process is essentially the melting of a metal by heating a crucible then remove the liquid metal through a casting die and perform a cooling process.
In this way the molten metal solidifies, obtaining at the exit of the casting die different shapes (rods, profiles, wires, plates, etc.) depending on the design of the crucible.
Applications
– Casting gold, silver, platinum
